West Poplar is a neighborhood bounded by Broad Street, Girard Avenue, and Spring Garden Street. Northern Liberties and Callowhill neighbor the community, with Center City in close proximity.  The neighborhood is mainly residential with some commercial on Broad Street and Girard Avenue and some industrial facilities to the west of the railroad tracks.

The neighborhood’s most well-known landmark is the victorian-style Divine Lorraine Hotel (now residential luxury apartments) located on North Broad Street and Fairmount Street. Another neighborhood landmark is PhilaMOCA, a contemporary gallery and art space located in the historic Finney & Son building, a former showroom for mausoleums that dates back to the 1850s. Along Broad Street and Spring Garden, you’ll also find many popular restaurants, breweries, and bars including Osteria, Santucci’s, Triple Bottom Brewing, and more all within easy walking distance.
