Port Richmond is a neighborhood located in what’s traditionally called the Riverwards in North Philadelphia. The neighborhood is bounded by Castor Avenue to the northeast, Somerset Street to the southwest, the Delaware River to the southeast, and Trenton Avenue to the northwest. It is known for its large Polish and Polish-American community. The neighborhood is also home to large Irish, German, and Italian communities.

In addition to delis, bakeries, and shops, there are many new and long-standing small businesses in the neighborhood including Tacconelli’s Pizza, an Italian restaurant with a 5th generation tomato pie recipe that brings people from all over Philadelphia to the area. Port Richmond is easily accessible to main thoroughfares on Aramingo and Lehigh Avenues as well as I-95, making it a convenient location with easy access to both Center City and the NorthEast.
