Stanley A. Solo
Stanley A. Solo was a true Philadelphia native, born December 29, 1920 right here in Philadelphia. Stanley attended the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, graduating class of 1942. While at the Wharton School of Business and Temple University, Stanley studied business, appraising, insurance, and real estate practice.
Stanley was also a World War II veteran having served as captain of the U.S. Army Quartermaster in Egypt and what was then Persia.
Since the late 1940s, Stanley A. Solo was active in Philadelphia real estate. Stanley started as a salesman with John Breen Real Estate before becoming a real estate broker and opening his first office at 1700 Locust Street.
In 1989, Stanley A. Solo retired as the broker for Solo Real Estate, making way for his daughter Deborah E. Solo and son in law Angel Luis Franqui, who now own and operate Solo Real Estate. Stanley passed away in May 2020 but his legacy lives on through Deborah, Angel and their son Alejandro who now run the family business.
