Passyunk Square
Many call Passyunk Square a “hot” neighborhood. Others call it “the cool place to be.” Either way, there are many reasons to call it “home.”
With boundaries extending from Washington Avenue south to Tasker Street, and from 6th Street west to Broad, East Passyunk Square forms the heart of the community. Lined with restaurants, bars, boutiques, spas, salons, and more, it encompasses everything from Italian BYOs to gastropubs taking bar food to new levels. Other popular Passyunk Square destinations include Philadelphia’s Italian Market and the two restaurants that form one of the fiercest culinary rivalries in history — Pat’s versus Geno’s.
Although Passyunk Square has a promising future, the community’s architecture proudly reflects its past. Large brownstones and trinities comprise much of the mix. There’s also an assortment of red brick row homes mixed with others built in the Federal and Colonial styles.
