Neighborhood Highlights

Print

At the foot of the Ben Franklin Bridge, Philadelphia’s Old City is nestled along the Delaware River by Penn’s Landing. Over the past few decades, this empty industrial area has transformed into a walking district of world-class cuisines, art galleries, nightclubs and bars, design studios, and everything ’boutique’ from pastries to hats.

Interested in the area’s real estate? Old City features a diversity of architectural styles and spaces unlike anywhere in town. Warehouse conversions to loft condominiums are plentiful. Philadelphia’s center for studio arts and new culture, Old City is known for its regular First Fridays, a series of monthly art
studio openings.
