Philadelphia’s Chinatown is considered the fourth largest in the United States and is located within Center City Philadelphia. This cultural center possesses a great deal of distinctly Philadelphian architecture and cultural character centered around its famous “Friendship Arch.” Chinatown is a bustling neighborhood popular for its gift shops, markets, and fine Asian restaurants. Sometimes referred to as Philadelphia’s Loft District and Callowhill neighborhood, other landmarks in Chinatown include the Trocadero Theater, a concert venue, Reading Terminal Market, and Space 1026, an artist community that regularly hosts shows and exhibitions.

There are many connections to public transit in Chinatown through Market East Train Station, busses,
and subways.
