“About 10 years ago I was thinking about buying an investment property in Center City Philadelphia – maybe a converted townhouse, with 6 to 10 apartments. My wife said it was a great idea, so long as we didn’t have to manage the property ourselves. That’s when I thought of Solo Realty and Deborah Solo in particular, who I have known since I was a kid.

I called Deborah and told her I had already seen a property and asked her if her husband Angel, a lawyer who shares office space with Solo, could set up a Limited Liability Partnership for me and my wife and take care of all the necessary paperwork and licenses for us. Within a couple of weeks, our LLP was up and running and we put in a bid on the building, offering less than I had planned, based on Deborah’s good advice. The building has been beautifully maintained over the last 10 years and has probably doubled in value.

Because the property is so well taken care of, turnover of tenants is low and finding new tenants and getting top dollar for the apartments has never been a problem. No unit has ever been empty for more than a month, so cash flow has been consistent and strong and trouble-free. Our statement of accounts and check arrive like clockwork from Solo’s office every month.

About 6 years ago, my wife and I were thinking about moving into Center City. Once again, Deborah helped us find a terrific property and negotiate the right price. The fact that Deborah is also an architect and could really help us evaluate the property and see its potential made everything easier. Our new house downtown came with a rental apartment over the garage and Solo has been managing that for us as well, hassle-free.
